7 Family-Friendly Seasonal Events In Harford County

There are plenty of affordable and family-friendly seasonal events taking place in Harford County this winter.

We’ve got just over a month left of 2019, but those weeks are going to be stuffed full of fun, family-friendly activities. There are several happening around Harborside Village Apartments, located in Harford County. Read on for a guide to the many affordable and seasonal events in Harford County perfect for the whole family to enjoy in November and December. 

Elf: The Musical – Nov. 22nd to Dec. 8th

One of the seasonal events sure to delight kids is this musical. The beloved Christmas story is being performed at the Cultural Center at the Opera House in Havre de Grace. Kids will love to see the story of Buddy the Elf brought to life before their eyes. Times vary, and tickets range in price from $17 to $22. 

Festival of Trees – Nov. 29th and Nov. 30th

The 14th annual festival held at the Bel Air Armory features trees of all sizes. The festival includes holiday wreaths and gingerbread houses sold through a silent auction, which will benefit Cancer LifeNet at the Patricia D. and M. Scot Kaufman Cancer Center. The fest is open from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, and tickets are $7. 

Breakfast with Santa – Nov. 30th

After stopping by the Festival of Trees, you can enjoy more seasonal events by walking down the street to Looney’s Pub and meeting Santa and Mrs. Claus over breakfast. The event runs from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tickets for children under age three are free, children ages four and up are $5, and adults are $10. A portion of the proceeds benefits Cancer LifeNet. 

Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting – Dec. 1st

Celebrate the start of the Month of Christmas at the 30th annual festival in downtown Bel Air. The free fest includes appearances by acrobats, costumed characters, marching bands, mascots, musical groups, and Santa and Mrs. Claus. The event runs from 2:30 p.m. to 4:45 p.m.

The Nutcracker – Dec. 6th through 8th

One of the must-see seasonal events of every Christmastime, for $10-$16, families can watch the classic story of Clara and her Christmas Eve journey. Times vary at Harford Community College. 

The SSO Presents A Suite Holiday Treat – Dec. 7th

The Susquehanna Symphony performs works by Georges Bizet, Percy Grainger, and more at Bel Air High School Auditorium. Tickets are $10-$20, and the show is from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. 

Merry Tuba Christmas – Dec. 15th

An ensemble of musicians performs a medley of classic holiday tunes on the euphonium, sousaphone or tuba. The show starts at 5 p.m. at Bel Air High School. Tickets are free to $10.
